SDIC and China Taiping Insurance Holdings Company Ltd. signed an agreement on strategic cooperation in Beijing on July 5th, 2021.

SDIC Chairman Bai Tao and China Taiping Chairman Wang Sidong witnessed signing of the agreement, while Li Ruge, SDIC Chief Accountant, and China Taiping Deputy General Manager Li Kedong signed the agreement on behalf of each side respectively.

SDIC Chairman Bai welcomed Chairman Wang and his delegation, and briefed them about the development, performance, business distribution and experimental reforms of SDIC. Chairman Bai pointed out that SDIC will continue to adhere to the goal of serving national strategy and play a guiding and leading role of a State-owned capital investment company in (investing in) national security and the national economy and people’s livelihood. Bai expressed his hope that both sides regard the signing of the agreement as a new start point, solidify existing cooperation basis, and enhance and deepen cooperation in the sectors of investment and financing, medical and health care, fund investment, and human resources, through which the two sides will best use their own advantages, support each other and achieve the goal of win-win and mutual benefit.

After briefing China Taiping’s business operation and the strategic development plan in the country’s 14thFive-Year Plan, Chairman Wang said that SDIC is an important cooperation partner of China Taiping and both sides have their own inherent advantages in such strategic cooperation. The signing of the agreement will open a new chapter for both sides in strategic cooperation and make new breakthroughs in the sectors of insurance, investment and financing, medical and health care, and human resources.

Leaders of related business units from both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on follow-up cooperation.

Attending the meeting and signing ceremony were also SDIC Board Secretary Li Baolin, Assistant to SDIC President Meng Shuhao, SDIC HR Director Liu Guojun, SDIC Power Investment Chairman Zhu Jiwei, SDIC Health Chairman Liu Jian, SDIC Finance General Manager Lu Jun, SDIC Fund Management General Manager Liu Wei, SDIC Venture Capital General Manager Gao Aimin, SDIC Strategic Development Department Deputy Director Du Lilong and leaders of related business units of China Taiping.
